The Richmond Main Street
Initiative will present Music on the Main on Wednesday,
Sept. 26 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot at
the corner of Macdonald Avenue and 16th Street next
to the Richmond BART station.
The
event will feature music by R&B
crooner Freddie Hughes, who has worked with such superstar
performers as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Etta Jones
and Ike and Tina Turner.
A jump house for children
will also be provided, along with community outreach
vehicles from the Richmond police and fire departments.
Barbecue and fish may be purchased from CJ’S
BBQ.
The Richmond Main Street Initiative
is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing historic
downtown Richmond.
