St. John Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Kevin Hall, will celebrate its 64th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m. The theme of the event is “A Kingdom Building Church Still Prevailing in the New Millennium.”
    The Beth Eden Baptist Church of Oakland will participate in the event, and its pastor, Dr. Gilette James, will serve as the guest speaker.
    The St. John’s men’s chorus, the Voices of St. John, and the youth and young adult choirs will perform, along with choir members from Beth Eden.
    St. John Missionary Baptist Church is located at 652 S. 52nd St. in Richmond.
