Hannibal Navies’ camp in
the Bay

Area native and current San Francisco 49er linebacker
Hannibal Navies is holding his annual football camp
on Saturday May 19 from 9 a.m – 4 p.m. at his
alma mater, Berkeley High School. The free camp is
open to boys ages 14 to 18.

This year camp attendees
will also have the chance to join the San Francisco
49ers’ 7-on-7 Tournament. All participants
will have the opportunity to develop new skills,
craft fundamental techniques, improve personal level
of play, work with current and former NFL players,
and have fun. Some of the camp highlights include:
• Speed,
strength and agility drills • Combine testing
• Individual
position sessions with the Pros • Autograph
session
• Lunch and camp t-shirt
• Special
emphasis on teamwork, nutrition and exercise, education,
and conflict resolution The camp also offers scholarships
to male and female sports athletes.
The mission of
the Hannibal Navies Foundation and the camp is to
promote education and prepare inner-city students
for post secondary success. The Foundation develops
and implements programs that foster positive social,
academic and physical development to enhance the
lives of today’s youth.
